Earl Price Obituary

Earl L. Price NORFOLK - Earl Lee Price, 57, of the 7000 block of Gregory Drive, departed this life Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2009. He was born June 2, 1952, in Norfolk, to the late Joseph A. Price and Laura Beckett Price. He was a 1970 graduate of Norview High School. Earl was a former member of Enoch Baptist Church where he served with the Concert Choir and Men's Choir. He leaves to cherish his memory two brothers, Merle Price (his twin) and Ronnie Beckett (Sharmaine), all of Norfolk; one niece, Carmen Beckett of Norfolk; one nephew, Ronell Beckett of Chicago; a devoted friend, Ruth Deloatch of Norfolk; as host of other relatives and friends. The funeral will be held at noon Wednesday, Sept. 9, at Mount Nebo Baptist Church, 5738 Colonial Trail East, Surry, VA 23883 with Apostle Gregory Reese officiating. Interment will be in Mount Ray Cemetery. Viewing is from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, at Poole's Funeral Home, 8721 Colonial Trail East, Smithfield, VA 23430. Arrangements by Poole's Funeral Home, Sabrina Hardy- Newby, funeral director, (757) 357-4742.
