Joseph Kelly Obituary

Joseph Ryan Kelly VIRGINIA BEACH - On Sunday, Aug. 30, 2009, one of the world's most gentle souls left us with his most adoring companion and man's best friend, Riley, in an automobile accident in Virginia Beach. In a day that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him, Joseph Ryan Kelly, one of God's most sincere and loving children was taken prematurely for a better purpose. Many wonderful memories will be cherished by that of his beautiful wife, Catherine Klett Kelly of Virginia Beach; adoring parents, Michael and Theresa Kelly; and his brother, Mike Kelly Jr., all of Clarksburg, Md. He will also be missed by many other family members and friends. Prior to his life as a devoted husband, Joseph was a Gaithersburg High School graduate, and an employee bettering mankind with his career as an animal research technician with Sobran. Such a tremendous loss cannot be conveyed in words alone. A memorial Mass will be held Wednesday, Sept. 9, starting at 7 p.m. at the Church of the Ascension Catholic Church, 4853 Princess Anne Road, Virginia Beach, with the Rev. Father James E. Parke officiating. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, please send donations to either The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) or the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) in Joseph Ryan Kelly's name. Altmeyer Funeral Home, Southside Chapel, is handling the arrangements. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.altmeyer.com.
