Albert Bacon

Albert J. Bacon NORFOLK - Albert J. "AJ" Bacon, 72, of the 7700 block of Fayver Ave., died Sept. 4, 2009. He was born Sept. 7, 1936, in Baskerville, Va. He was retired from the U.S. Navy in 1975. He was predeceased by his son, Albert A. Bacon. He is survived by his wife, Alice; two daughters, Alfreda Hall (Robert) and Angel Bacon; three sons, Adolph, Antonio and Aaron (Wilma) Bacon; three brothers, three sisters, 20 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; a special grandson, Alexander Bacon; and a host of other relatives and friends. A funeral will be held today in the chapel of the Graves Funeral Home, 1631 Church St., at 11 a.m. with Apostle Marvin Smith presiding. Burial will be in Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk. The family will reassemble at 7704 Fayver Ave. after the services for the repast. www.gravesfuneralhomeinc.com.
