Mary Steiner Obituary

Mary L. Steiner CHESAPEAKE - Mary Louise (Mokes) Steiner, 56, of the Greenbrier area of Chesapeake, passed away Sept. 15, 2009. Mare, as she was known, originally from Levittown, Pa., was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and Bucks County Technical School and formerly a member of Harriman United Methodist Church. A devoted Navy wife, Mare embraced the challenges and travel opportunities shared by her and her husband which are associated with military life. After residing in several locations in the U.S. and overseas, Mare and her husband settled in Chesapeake. Mare was previously employed in the contracting industry as a technical librarian. She continued to enjoy traveling for pleasure and was an avid bowler. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 38 years, Bobby Steiner; brother, Tom Mokes and wife Anna Mae; as well as brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Joey and Miok Steiner, Jimmy and Carol Steiner, Dennis and Marie Steiner, Tommy and Kathy Steiner, Mary and Mike Perrone, and Michael and Maureen Steiner, all of Pennsylvania; as well as several loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and -nephews. Private services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel, Chesapeake.

My condolensces go out to the family. I am truly sorry for your loss. She was a kind lady which I discovered from the short time that I knew her. I was a nurse of hers.
