Erma Winborne

Erma L. Winborne SUFFOLK - Erma Linette Winborne of the 2300 block of Whaleyville Blvd. entered into eternal rest and peace Sept. 17, 2009, at Sentara Obici Hospital. A native of Nansemond County, she was daughter of the late Robert Frank and Annie Maude Rodgers Holland and the widow of James C. Winborne Sr. Mrs. Winborne retired as a cafeteria manager for the Suffolk Public School System. She was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church where she was a member of the Fellowship Club and Hospitality Committee. She leaves to cherish her memory her son, James C. Winborne Jr. and his wife Willetha D. Winborne of Citrus Spring, Fla.; grandson, James C. Winborne III of West Palm Beach, Fla.; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Keidre Winborne. A service to celebrate her life will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22, at Gethsemane Baptist Church, officiated by the Rev.
