Alita Sauvan Obituary

Alita Snyder Sauvan NORFOLK - Alita Snyder Sauvan, 72, of the 1300 block of Pineview Ave., passed away Saturday, Sept. 26, 2009, at a local hospital. Born in Tacoma Park, Md., to the late James and Nina Snyder, Alita was a member of Blackwater Baptist Church. She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, John S. Sauvan; a daughter, Teresa Lynn Willis and husband Stephen of Norfolk; stepmother, Dorothy Snyder of Virginia Beach; several nieces and nephews. A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hollomon- Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, with the Rev. Ernest L. Trueblood officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 1403 Greenbrier Pkwy. No. 575, Chesapeake, VA 23320-0691. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.

I am truly sorry for your loss. Alita will be remembered as a sweet and lovely lady. She is a patient that I always looked forward to seeing at NDC. May the memories she left with you continue to keep her in your hearts.
