Walter Adams Obituary

Walter P. Adams Jr. WILLIAMSBURG - Walter P. Adams Jr. peacefully passed away Sunday, Oct. 4, 2009. A native of Norfolk, he graduated from Maury High School and the University of Virginia. He was a retired Naval aviator and a retired Eastern Airlines pilot. He was the son of the late Dr. and Mrs. Walter P. Adams and is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Charlotte and Bob Harrell; daughters, Lane Mathews, Susan Adams and Nancy Saunders; and grandchildren, Amy Mathews, Chelsea Saunders and Tim Saunders. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of the Memory Center and Heartland Hospice for their loving care and support. Cremation Society of Virginia, Hampton Roads office, is assisting the family. Online condolences can be made at www.cremate.org.
