James Todd Obituary

James P. Todd PORTSMOUTH - James P. "J.P." Todd went to be with the Lord Oct. 7, 2009. He was retired from Seaboard Coastline after 42 years of service. He was a master mason of Washington-Lafayette Lodge No. 176. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Evelyn Harris Todd; two daughters, Diane Todd Rice and Bonnie Jo Spurlock (David); three grandsons, James D. Rice (Laurie), Justin R. Rice (Holly) and Brent Nagle; two granddaughters, Angie Hickman (Bo) and Kathy Mahone (B.W.); seven great-granddaughters, Jessi, Marisa, Taylor, Tessa, Marli, Ali, Bresea and Abby; and one brother, Troy W. Todd (Ann). He was preceded in death by his mother, Ida Mae and father Lee Todd; three brothers and one sister. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. Nelson Fields. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 8 p.m. www.SturtevantFuneralHome.com.
