Blanche Crutchfield Obituary

Blanche B. Crutchfield CHESAPEAKE - Blanche B. Crutchfield, 79, of the 1900 block of Robert Hall Blvd., was called home to be with the Lord Sunday, Oct. 11, 2009. She was born Feb. 5, 1930 in Margarettsville, N.C. She was predeceased by her husband, John. E. Crutchfield. She leaves to cherish her memory six daughters, Marian W. Horton, Deborah A. Blount, Erdie T. Crutchfield, Joyce M. Hill, Wanda F. Ward, Sandra K. McGill, and Donna C. Harris; three sons, Glenn R. Crutchfield, Monte L. Crutchfield and Johnny U. Crutchfield; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Viewing will be held Sunday, Oct. 18, from 3 until 7 p.m. at J.T. Fisher Funeral Services, 1080 N. George Washington Hwy., Chesapeake. A life celebration service will be held Monday, Oct. 19, at 10 a.m. in St. John Baptist Church, 2200 Effingham St., Portsmouth, where the pastor is the Rev. Robert L. Earls. Interment will be at Hampton VA National Cemetery. Condolences can be offered to the family at www. jtfisherfuneralservices.com.
