James Falls Obituary

James H. Falls Jr. KNOTTS ISLAND - James Henry Falls Jr. passed away Oct. 19, 2009. Mr. Falls was born in Botetourt County, Virginia, June 20, 1935 to the late James and Susan Falls Sr. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 53 years, Shirley Falls; his children, Paige Falls and James Henry Falls III; his sister, Beverly Pierce and her husband Joe of Virginia Beach; a brother, Monty Richard Falls and his wife Mel of Homestead, Fla.; three grandchildren, Samantha Grovatt and her husband Jeremy, Colby Falls and his fiancée Chris Jensen and Jermey Falls; and two great-grandchildren, Kaleb and Madison Grovatt. Mr. Falls was predeceased by his brother, Ronald Lee Falls. Mrs. Falls retired from the Ford Motor Company after 31½ years. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed participating in a bowling league. He will be greatly missed by his special four-legged friend, Joyful. Visitation will be held in Twiford Funeral Home, Chesapeake, today from 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in Blackwater Baptist Church, Virginia Beach, with interment following in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Norfolk. I am sorry for your loss and am thinking about you guys during this hard time. It was always a joy to see you guys on the golf cart getting them mail. Mr. Falls will be missed!!
