Helen Creecy Obituary

Helen T. Creecy CHESAPEAKE - Helen Yvonne "Pick" Toliver Creecy, 61, passed away Oct. 20, 2009. She was born Oct. 16, 1948, to the late Richard and Helen Toliver in Norfolk. She was educated in the Chesapeake Public School system and attended Crestwood High School. Helen was a former resident of Fort Washington, Md., and retired from Bolling Air Force Base after 15 years of service. She was predeceased by one sister, Joyce Wilson and one brother, Orrick Toliver. She is survived by two daughters, Tracey Toliver and Lavette Toliver; two sisters, Corolyn Lynch and Vickie Thomas; eight brothers, the Rev. Michael Toliver (Bennette), Anthony Toliver, Steven Toliver, Jimmy Toliver (Deborah), Richard Toliver Jr. (Darlene), Lester Toliver, Gary Toliver (Denise) and Corey Toliver; one grandson, Raphael Sherrod Toliver; and a host of other relatives and friends. Special thanks is extended to her aunt, Evelyn Claggion. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Metropolitan Funeral Service, 120 W. Berkley Ave. The Rev. Michael R. Toliver will officiate. Family and friends will assemble at 1304 Club House Drive, Chesapeake, one hour prior to the service for the procession to the chapel.
