In 2007, I made a special Mother's Day card for Gwen because while praying for her one day a little poem came into my head - specifically about her. I wanted to share that with her so I put it into a form of a card:
The sweetness of your smile,
The kindness of your heart,
Your gentleness of nature,
Are what sets your life apart.
You're such a blessing to us,
That we're taking time to say,
We wish you God's greatest blessings
And a Happy Mother's Day.
That was Gwen, in a nutshell. A blessing to all who knew her. We loved her so much and will miss her greatly. We continue in prayer for your family.

Rodney and Family,
You are in our thoughts and prayers today. Our loss is Heaven's gain. Gwen has touched many hearts in her lifetime and she will be greatly missed. Each day that passes is one day closer to being with her again.

We will always remember Gwen for her faithful card ministry and her dedication to our church family, even when she could no longer come out to church. Gwen had a genuine, one-of-a- kind, sweet spirit that will be truly missed. Even though we're thankful she's no longer in pain and with the Lord, our hearts are grieving for her loss.

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of Gwen's homegoing. May God bless you with the great anticipation of being together again. May God also give you the peace that passeth all understanding.
