Dear Laura,

I am so sorry at the loss of your father. You have endured a lot this year and I know, at times, you feel like you can't take anymore. Rest assured that God never gives us more than we can handle. You are in His grace and loving arms at this sad time. My deepest sympathy to your family and all those who knew and loved your father. I know he will hold a special place in their hearts.

Dearest Sandra and family,
We are so sorry to learn of the sudden and tragic passing of Buddy in a farming accident. I remember Buddy as a faithful member of Newsoms Methodist Church and very kind young man as we grew up in Newsoms. You are in our thoughts and prayers as you move through this time of grief for his passing and thanksgiving for his life. May God Bless You and those you love, now and always. I pray that Buddy will go from strength to strength in his new life with our Lord Jesus Christ. With love, Nancy and Les

We were so very sorry to hear the news of Buddy's death. As we began my husband's first clergy appointment, serving the Newsom's Charge of the United Methodist Church, we were grateful that the parsonage had Buddy & Sandra as neighbors. He shared much information/history that helped us understand the local farming community and our new church assignment. He saved us from a rabid fox as we waited at the bus stop with our Kindergartener; he shared fish when he had a successful venture afloat; he allowed my young, curious children to sit on his "big tractors"; he waved perpetually as the children tracked his transit of farm equipment up & down his long driveway; and he (and Sandra) offered the keys when the youth of the churches needed a cottage at the beach.

In the recent days we have reminded our older three children, who knew Buddy, of how genuine he was; and shared the with the younger ones how much they would have loved getting to know him.

We wish for you God's assurance of blessings and comfort and that the impact of his life is long with you!
