I had the pleasure of meeting Dennis while working at the Capes Resort. Talk about laugh until you cry, I cried everyday with him. I shared stories about him with my family. The man was just unbelievable. He truly had a way with words. He did not return to the resort this year but he did stop by to visit with me and of course to make me laugh until I cried. He will be greatly missed.

To the Gomez family:
Dennis was a pledge brother of mine and my W&L experience was truly enhanced by Dennis' presence.
I pray you find peace and love and comfort in this very sad time.

Dear Mrs. Gomez and family,
I extend my profound symphathy at the untimely passing of Dennis.
Mez and I were classmates and fraternity brothers at Washington & Lee Univ. I have fondly remembered Mez, his parents and the adventures we shared decades ago. Virginia Beach, Dixie Farm peanuts, sour mash bourbon coolers, road trips and a million laughs!
Mez was a gentlemen.

Dennis, I've thought of you from time to time and each time i did i remember you with a smile on your face and a handful of popcorn waiting to be consumed.
You were a special guy who had a special laugh and a wonderful sense of humor.
You were someone always willing to assist when there was a problem - and that company we worked for in Miami excelled in creating lots of problems.
I am one of many who are saddened by the news received today but all of us will have 'Dennis memories' to make us laugh, and cry, for many years to come.
To your family I offer my sincerest sympathies and wish them the strength to endure this period.
God bless you and please save a spot for me if you can. I'll bring the butter and salt.

Dennis, what can I say? I am honored to have known and worked with you. Your bold and always honest approach to life was a true inspiration. My condolences to your family, it would be impossible for future gatherings to have the same flare. I know in a smaller way my life has lost some of its spice. I also thank your family for an accurate and beautiful obituary, a better way to honor and remember the true person I cannot imagine. You will be missed, but certainly not forgotten.

To Mrs E Gomez and family, my heart goes out to you and the family. Dennis and I were friends for a long time and I am very sad that over the last few years we lost touch. He was a very special person who could make you laugh and cry at the same time. I have so many great memories that I will keep forever. He will always have a place in my heart. I just like to say my thoughts and sympathy are with you all. Love Denise

We had a lot in common. It was easy to be your friend. Thanks for recycling your magazines each month, and your old jokes for me. You could always make me laugh. I'm going to miss that, and we'll all miss you.
