Larry Paige Obituary

Larry Robert Paige CHESAPEAKE - Larry Robert Paige, 72, of Shillelagh Road, went to be with the Lord, Monday, Oct. 26, 2009, in Sentara Heart Hospital, Norfolk. Born in Hickory, N.C., he was the son of Margaret K. Paige and the late Robert E. Paige. Larry was a 1957 graduate of Deep Creek High School. For the next 40 years, he was a party chief at several land surveying companies before retiring from Hoggard - Eure & Associates. Larry soon realized that retirement was not for him and went back to work part time with Ernest Hawkins Land Surveyor. Larry and his wife Marva traveled extensively throughout the United States and Canada. He was a loving husband, devoted son and loyal friend to many. Including his mother, Larry is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Marva A. Paige; two sisters, Mary K. Ewell and husband Stanley and Patricia R. Inman and husband William; as well as three nieces and one nephew. The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 30, at the Great Bridge Chapel of Oman Funeral Home & Crematory, 653 Cedar Road, Chesapeake. The viewing will begin Thursday with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pulmonary Hypertension Association, www. PHAssociation.org, 801 Roeder Road, Suite 400, Silver Spring, MD 20910 or to the Animal Assistance League, 1149 New Mill Road, Chesapeake, VA 23322.
