Margaret Cint

Margaret T. Cint CHESAPEAKE - Margaret Terrell "Terry" Cint, 66, died Oct. 27, 2009. Mrs. Cint was born in Charleston, W.Va., to the late Vera Woods Shaffer-Sevits and the late Marvin Shaffer. She resided in Widen, W.Va., until she turned 18. She was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy. Mrs. Cint was a homemaker and had retired from the Naval Commissary. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, crafts and was an avid reader. Mrs. Cint was a former Red Cross volunteer and Virginian-Pilot Ledger Star Neighborhood Counselor. Most of all, she was a Navy wife. She was predeceased by her parents, Vera and Marvin; sister, Judy Tacy; and brother, Harry Shaffer. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 47 years, Ronald C. Cint; daughter, Jamie Cint of Marietta, Ga.; sons, Michael Cint of Tacoma, Wash., and Christopher Cint and wife Tina of Sarasota, Fla.; stepsister, Kay Hardesty; brother-in-law, Jerry Tacy; grandchildren, Victoria and Kaitlin Cint; close family friends, the Austins, Websters and Moores. The family will receive friends at Twiford's Colonial Chapel, Chesapeake, on Friday from 7 until 8:30 p.m. Memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
