Ron Aston Obituary

Ron L. Aston SUFFOLK - Ronald Lynn "Ron" Aston, 65, went to heaven to live with his Lord and Savior Oct. 27, 2009. He was born in Suffolk the son of Janie Byrd Aston and the late Beverly Cosco Aston. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the mid-1960s. Ron retired as a real estate agent. He was the former owner and operator of Hallmark Realty. He was a member of Suffolk Christian Church and a past member on the Board of Finance. Ron is survived by his mother, Janie Byrd Aston; daughter, Alaina Jane Aston; son, Ronald Lynn Aston II, all of Suffolk; sisters, Betty A. McCloud and husband Herman of Newport News, Va., Beverly A. McGahee and husband Terry, Kathy A. Parker and husband Weeks, both of Suffolk; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ron was passionate about many things. He loved his family, friends and church. He liked to garden and cook and he was very interested in local history. He loved the beach and knew how to weave a good story. Ron will be truly missed. A funeral will be held Saturday, Oct. 31, at 11 a.m. in Suffolk Christian Church with the Rev. Michael D. Halley officiating. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Christian Church Cemetery. Friends may join the family Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory. Contributions may be made to Suffolk Christian Church Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 1457, Suffolk, VA 23439. To Ron's Family,
I just learned yesterday of Ron's death, and am so saddened that I did not know in time to attend his service. We had many fun times and great laughs together over the years. I send you all my very, very sincere and deepest sympathy.

Dear Children & Sisters,
We were shocked to hear of Ron's passing. We all realize, however, that he is in his right place and there will be no more suffering.
