Wilma Heffinger Obituary

Wilma Linda Heffinger CHESAPEAKE - Wilma Linda Heffinger, 70, of the 2200 block of Dellwood Road, passed away Oct. 28, 2009 in Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center. A native of Norfolk, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Louise Sawyer. Wilma was a devoted member of Deep Creek Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Philip G. Heffinger; her daughter, Rebekka A. Candillo and husband Robert; two granddaughters, Meggan and Emily Candillo, all of Charleston, S.C.; two sisters, Betty Stark and husband Ted of National City, Calif., and Jean Watt and husband Joe of Westville, Okla.; three brothers, Tom and Lynn Sawyer of Azalea, Ore., Tim and Sarah Sawyer of Westville, Okla., and Ted and Lily Sawyer of Westville, Okla.; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. at Snellings Funeral Home, George Washington Highway Chapel, with the Rev. Larry Ryals officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. Condolences may be offered at www.snellingsfuneralhome.com.
