Della Mae Carpenter NORFOLK - Della Mae Carpenter, 72, of Edenton, N.C., passed away Friday, Oct. 30, 2009. She was born May 23, 1937, in North Wilksboro, N.C. Della is retired after 15 years of service as a bookkeeper from Kings department store. Della was predeceased by her parents, Fannie and Garvie Adams; her husband, Wesley P. Carpenter; and brother, James D. Adams. She leaves to cherish her memory her brother, Kenneth B. Adams; 21 nieces and nephews; Bert and Linda Carpenter and Virginia Jones and many other loving family and friends. A visitation for Della will be held today, Nov. 1, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Woodlawn Funeral Home. A service will be held Monday, Nov. 2, at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, 6329 E.
