Sue Mooneyhan Obituary

Sue Mooneyhan NEVADA, Mo. - Sue Mooneyhan, 69, died Friday, Oct. 23, 2009, in her residence following a sudden illness. She was born July 18, 1940 in Moundville, Mo., to Lorenzo Bryant Thomas and Eloise Glessner Martin Thomas. Ms. Mooneyhan was born and raised in Moundville, Mo. She worked for many years as a paralegal and executive secretary. She lived in Virginia from 1981 until 2005. She spent the remainder of her life here. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Nevada. She enjoyed playing bridge and was active in her church. Survivors include one son, David Mooneyhan of Stillwater, Okla.; two daughters, Dana Redburn of Nevada, Mo., and Lisa Tanner of Virginia Beach; five grandchildren, Christopher Righter of Springfield, Mo., Lindsay Mooneyhan of Stillwater, Nicholas Righter of Nevada., Mo., Chelsea Mooneyhan of Stillwater, and Emily Tanner of Virginia Beach; two brothers, Leon Thomas of Moundville, Mo., and Colin Thomas of Coats, N.C. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Jack Thomas and Gary Thomas. Memorial services were held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, in Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada., Mo. Pastor David Rorabaugh officiated, and the interment followed in Welborn Cemetery, Moundville. Memorial contributions may be made in her honor to the Rinehart Christian Church Bible School c/o Ferry Funeral Home, 301 S. Washington, Nevada, MO 64772.
