Iristeina Manley CHESAPEAKE - Iristeina "Lil Honey" Manley, 67, of the 1000 block of Calloway St., passed away Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009 at Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center. "Lil Honey," as she was affectionately called, was born Jan. 30, 1942 in South Norfolk to the late Preston and Dorothy Sherrill and was predeceased by a sister, Carolyn Kearney. Lil Honey was a retired nurse and a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church in Berkley and served as a health assistant, Benevolent Missionary Circle, Pastor's Advocacy and Past Worthy Matron of Dorcas Bethany Bessie Ellison Order of the Eastern Star PHA No. 50. Left to cherish precious memories are her sister, Lorraine Morrisett (James); three brothers, Preston Sherrill, Gregory Sherrill and the Rev. Carl Sherrill (Jackie), all of Chesapeake; one uncle, Walter Sherrill Sr.; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A homegoing celebration will be held Friday, Nov. 6, at noon in Mount Zion Baptist Church, 900 Middlesex St., Norfolk, with Dr. Charles Hart officiating. Interment will be at Roosevelt Memorial Park. The remains will be placed in church Friday morning at 10 a.m. Family and friends will assemble at 4174 Reid St., Chesapeake, one hour prior to service for the processional.
