Catherine Woodruff Obituary

Catherine I. Woodruff NORFOLK - Catherine Inez Woodruff, 84, passed away Nov. 9, 2009, at her home surrounded by her family. Born in Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Ashley and Daisy Daniel. Catherine was a member of Brentwood Baptist Church in Norfolk, loved to dance and watch karaoke. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her two daughters, Patricia Mudryk and her husband Raymond and Jane Sanders and her husband Paul; two sons, Allen Woodruff and his wife Katherine and James Woodruff; 11 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. Catherine was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Raymond A. Woodruff. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, at Rosewood Memorial Park with the Rev. Joe Newman officiating. A reception will follow the graveside service at 201 Bayview Blvd., Norfolk. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13, at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5792 Greenwich Road, Virginia Beach. Condolences may be offer- ed to the family at www. altmeyer.com.

Mrs. W, my prayers and thoughts for a very beautiful and nice person. I enjoyed visiting you on my trips back to Virginia. My prayers also to Waldo, Allen, Pat and Jane. Mrs. W, you will be missed. Thanks for the friendship.
