Douglas Claybone Obituary

Douglas Claybone Jr. VIRGINIA BEACH - Douglas Thomas Claybone Jr., 61, passed away Nov. 9, 2009. He was born in Norfolk and was the former owner of Claybone's Mobile for 30 years. He also worked as a state inspector at Great Neck Citgo for more than 10 years. He coached soccer, softball, baseball and basketball at Arrowhead Recreation and was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War where he was decorated with numerous medals. He was an avid NASCAR fan and loved the Florida Gators. He is survived by two daughters, Christina Peck and husband Scott, Lindsey Riley and husband Jason, all of Virginia Beach; two sons, Aaron Brunson and Douglas Thomas (Trey) Claybone III, both of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Juanita Wiltshire of Virginia Beach, and Claudette Smith of California; two grandchildren, Makenna Riley and Rowynn Riley both of Virginia Beach. A funeral service will be held Monday, Nov. 16, at 1 p.m. in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel, where the family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.
