Geronima Dela Cruz Obituary

Geronima B. Dela Cruz CHESAPEAKE - Geronima B. Dela Cruz, 82, of the 3500 block of Forest Haven Lane, passed away Nov. 12, 2009 in Portsmouth. A native of Cagayan, Philippines, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Juliana Batan. She was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband, Emiliano V. Dela Cruz; eight children, William B. Dela Cruz and wife Gloria of Suffolk, Flordeliz Dela Cruz and Delicia Dela Cruz both of Chesapeake, Leticia Dela Cruz of Crestview, Fla., Domingo Dela Cruz and wife Mercedes, Thomas Dela Cruz, Charlie Dela Cruz and wife Marina, Dr. Rosario Dela Cruz, Llave and husband John, all of the Philippines; a daughter-in-law, Evelyn Dela Cruz; 21 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; a brother and a sister. She was predeceased by two sons, Emerson and Jimson Dela Cruz and a daughter-in-law, Candida Dela Cruz. A Mass of the Resurrection will be conducted Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Therese Catholic Church. The entombment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Snellings Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel, Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. with a wake at 7 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.snellingsfuneralhome.com.
