Jesus Corpuz Obituary

Jesus A. Corpuz NORFOLK - Jesus A. Corpuz, 59, passed away peacefully at Sentara Nursing Center of Norfolk, Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009. Born Dec. 25, 1949, in the Philippines, he was the son of the late Crispin and Maria Corpuz. He graduated from Nueva Vizcaya High School and earned his bachelor's degree at St. Mary's College. He was a hard worker and was loyal to his employers and spent the last seven years with Norfolk Airport Authority where he shared his charming sense of humor with his fellow employees, friends and strangers. He was an active member of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church of Christ). He was as faithful to his wife and family as he was with God. He loved his family and cherished the moments he shared with his wife, children and grandchildren. He leaves his wife of 32 years, Jemima; his sons, Christian and Shepherd; his daughters, Divine and Sacred; his granddaughters, Jaslyn and Nevlene; his brother, Frank; his sisters, Victoria and Erlinda; sister-in -law, Maura; daughters-in- law, Jamie and Lisa; son-in- law, Brick; numerous relatives and friends. The funeral will be held Tuesday, Nov. 17, at 1 p.m. at Woodlawn Funeral Home & Crematory, 6329 Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk, VA 23502. Viewing will be Monday, Nov. 16, from 6 to 8 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family online at www. woodlawngroup.com.
