Stanley W. Harrison Jr. VIRGINIA BEACH - Stanley W. Harrison Jr., 62, passed away Nov. 16, 2009, in Sentara Bayside Hospital. A native of Norfolk, he was the son of the late Stanley W. Harrison Sr. and stepmother, Hazel Harrison. He attended New Creation Assembly of God. He is survived by his wife, Mary J. Harrison; his mother, Mary Lou Strawhand and her husband Roy of Virginia Beach; his son, Stan W. Harrison III of Virginia Beach; his daughter, Lisa Marie Thaxter and husband Clayton of Chesapeake; three sisters, Cathey Tulak and husband Mike, Eva Linne and husband Steve and Wanda Harrison; two brothers, Roger Harrison and wife Barbara and Roy Strawhand; and six grandchildren, Aaron J. Thaxter, Anthony J. Thaxter, Andrew J. Thaxter, Ayden J. Thaxter, Avery J. Thaxter, all of Chesapeake and Alex Weast of Christiansburg, Va. A memorial service will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. in New Creation Assembly of God with the Rev. Mark Ackerman officiating. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, is handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the church.
