Ellar Grimstead Obituary

Ellar Grimstead VIRGINIA BEACH - Ellar "Cindy" Grimstead entered heaven's gates Nov. 16, 2009. She was born Nov. 22, 1932 and is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, Sherman L. Grimstead Sr.; daughters, Susan Winchester (Lloyd) of Virginia Beach and Amy Filipek (Scott) of Norcross, Ga.; grandsons, Hunter and Cole Winchester; and an extended stepfamily and friends. A celebration of her life will be today, Nov. 20, at 1 p.m. at Twiford's Memorial Chapel, 405 East Church St., Elizabeth City, N.C., with the Rev. Ernest Trueblood officiating. Burial will be in West Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the lobby of the funeral home. Donations may be made to the American Heart Association. Sherman and the extended family of Cindy Grimstead....
Our family was so saddened to hear of the passing of such a nice lady. My kids couldnt believe it. They have known her all their lives. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and please know that anything we can do for you please do not hesitate to let us know.
