Barbara Kay Obituary

Barbara Jean Kay PORTSMOUTH - Barbara Jean Kay, 74, of the 900 block of Jewell Ave., died Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009 in her residence. A native of Tarboro, N.C., she retired from the City of Portsmouth's Tax Department. Survivors include her husband, Beverly B. Kay; a daughter, Belinda Todd of Portsmouth; two sons, Beverly B. Kay Jr. and wife Cathy of Suffolk and James B. Kay of Virginia Beach; a brother, Herman K. Terry of Princeville, N.C.; a granddaughter, Crystal Todd; and a great-granddaughter, Breanna Todd. She was predeceased by her parents, Herman J. and Alice Vaughan Terry; and a sister, Pauline Snow. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel. www.SturtevantFuneralHome.com.
