Elizabeth Saunders Obituary

Elizabeth M. Saunders SUFFOLK - Elizabeth Mae Saunders, 76, passed away quietly Nov. 20, 2009. She was born Oct. 14, 1933 in Becket, Mass. She was the daughter of the late Charles Obadiah and Evelyn Dorothy (Cooley). Dean and was predeceased by her husband, James A. Saunders. Betty, as her friends knew her, retired from the U.S. Postal Service Distribution Center at Tampa and moved to Virginia in 2001. She is survived by her son, Lawrence (Kathy) Saunders; three daughters, Deborah (Jeff) Smith of Harrisburg, Pa., Linda (John) Saunders- Roy of Pagosa Springs, Colo., and Diana (Allen) Davis of Richmond, Va.; four wonderful grandchildren, Frances and Lauren Smith of Harrisburg and Alexis and Christian Davis of Richmond. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 23, at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Bennetts Creek Chapel. www.SturtevantFuneralHome.com.
