Mary Perkins

Mary Scott Perkins VIRGINIA BEACH - Mary Scott Perkins, 78, passed away Nov. 23, 2009. She was born in Norfolk to Mervin Earl and Mary White Scott. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Sidney; son, John T. Perkins and wife Sandra Corbin Perkins; daughter, Linda P. and husband Charles Mathis Jr.; a son-in-law, Mark O'Neil; grandchildren, Matthew Ray Perkins and wife Kathy, Daniel B. Perkins and wife Kristen, Allan J. Perkins and wife Melissa, and Christine N. Mathis; great-grandchildren, Philip, Lauren, Rebecca, Hailey, Danielle and Nicholle Perkins; step great- grandchildren, Jessyca, Samantha, Brant and Tyler; one great-great-grandchild, Kayden; and a brother, Donald Scott. She was predeceased by her daughter, Diane P. O'Neil. She was a member of Eastminster Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday school and was an active member of the Child Evangelism Fellowship for many years. A funeral will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Eastminster Presbyterian Church with the Rev. David Zavadil officiating. The burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
