Robert F. Martin VIRGINIA BEACH - Robert "Rudy" Franklin Martin, 64, of the 5500 block of Club Head Road, passed away Nov. 23, 2009. A native of Wilmington, N.C., he was the son of the late Robert F. and Caroline C. Martin. He was the vice president of McCallum Testing. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite and the Khedive Shrine. He was an avid golfer and a member of Cypress Point Country Club. He also enjoyed fishing and the company of friends. However, his first priority was his family. He will continue to be loved and missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Peggy C. Martin; his son, Adam and his wife Dana and their children Matthew and Emma, all of South Carolina; his sister, Glenn Ellen Rawls of Florida; numerous extended family members and wonderful friends. A memorial service will be conducted Wednesday, Dec. 2, at 2 p.m. at Community United Methodist Church. A gathering of friends and family will follow in the church social hall. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, is handling the arrangements.
