Evelyn Robertson Obituary

Evelyn G. Robertson PORTSMOUTH - Evelyn G. Robertson, 84, of the 1100 block of Mount Vernon Ave., died Nov. 22, 2009, in Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center. Born in the Pinners Point section of Portsmouth, she retired as a supervisor in housekeeping with Portsmouth General Hospital. She was a member of Holy Way Temple of Faith. Evelyn was predeceased by her husband, William Robertson and son, Arbury Robertson. She is survived by daughter, Hortense Boston; sisters, Kay Bynum (Curtis) and Angelina Wilson; brother, Robert Brimley; one grandchild; two great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in New Mount Vernon Baptist Church, Portsmouth. Viewing will begin today at 1 p.m. The family will be at the residence. The body will be in church Saturday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery. Fisher Funeral Home, 1520 Effingham St., is in charge. www. fisherfuneral.com.

You have blessed my life so much, from London Oak to now. You have always made me and Shanita feel welcome. It's little things that made you Granny to us. Things that were not often seen. Things like being there when days where hard for us, for the long day of me working and keeping an eye out for Shanita. Our hearts will always remember the love you gave us.
