Spiller Anderson Obituary

Spiller V. Anderson SUFFOLK - Spiller Vincent Anderson, 59, passed away Nov. 27, 2009. He was a native of Newport News, the son of the late James Curtis Anderson and Frances Phillips Anderson. He was predeceased by his sister, Judith and brother, Jimmy. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church and the Adult 5 Sunday School class. He was also one of the original members and trumpet player for Bill Deal and Rhondells. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Nancy M. Anderson; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer A. and Michael Howe of Petersburg, Va.; sons and daughters-in-law, James Barry and Linda Armstrong of Franklin, Va., Joseph Curtis and JoEllen Anderson of Virginia Beach, Justin E. Armstrong and fiancée Heather of Franklin, Va.; five grandchildren, Avery, Gabrielle, Michael Bryan, Loren and Jacob; sister and brother-in-law, Frances and Harry Ironmonger of Loganville, Ga. A funeral will be held Tuesday, Dec. 1, at 2 p.m. at Southside Baptist Church with the Rev. Stewart McCarter officiating. Interment will follow in Holly Lawn. The family will receive friends Monday, Nov. 30, from 7 to 8 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk, VA 23434 and other times at the residence.
