Roy Strawhand Sr.

Roy L. Stawhand Sr. VIRGINIA BEACH - Roy L. Strawhand Sr. went to be with the Lord Nov. 24, 2009, at Jamestown Commons, his home with many friends. Roy was a member of Eastminister Presbyterian Church and was loved by all who knew him. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 57 years, Mary L. Strawhand; son, Roy L. Strawhand Jr.; two daughters, Cathy L. Tulak and husband Michael, Karen D'Auria and husband Anthony; two sisters, Ruby Richardson and Hazel Phipps; nine grandchildren, Katelyn, Christopher, Matthew, Corey, Sue, Christina, Karen Elizabeth, Stan III and Lisa; six great-grandchildren, Alex, Aaron, Anthony, Andrew, Ayden and Avery; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Strawhand was preceded in death by both parents; a son, Stan Harrinson Jr. and a brother-in-law, Bill Richardson. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to noon, Monday, Nov. 30, at Eastminister Presbyterian Church with a memorial service to follow at noon. The Rev. David Zavadill will officiate.
