Nathan Majors Obituary

Nathan A. Majors Sr. NORFOLK - Nathan A. Majors Sr., also known as "Nate," of the 400 block of Maryland Ave., passed away Nov. 27, 2009. He was born in South Boston, Va., to the late Nathan and Eva Rodgers Majors and was a master mechanic at Virginia Beach Dodge. He was also predeceased by one sister and one brother. Leaving to cherish precious memory are his devoted wife, Laverne B. Majors; two daughters, Gayle R. and Yolanda L. Majors, both of Norfolk; two sons, Nathan A. Majors Jr. (Dana) of Chicago and Deshawn L. Majors of Norfolk; four sisters; three brothers; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a host of other relatives and friends. A funeral will be held Thursday, Dec. 3, at 1 p.m. in First Baptist Church Westmunden, 1541 Lyons Ave., Chesapeake, with the Rev. Regina Spain-Harrison officiating. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Fitchett Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Condolences can be offered to the family at www.fitchettfuneralhome.com.
