Stanley Christian Obituary

Stanley Christian NORFOLK - Stanley Christian, 60, went home to be with the Lord Nov. 28, 2009. He was born Nov. 26, 1949 to Andrew Christian Sr. and the late Vernice Christian in Norfolk. He attended Norfolk Public Schools after which he learned trades before joining the ILA where he worked for more than 30 years before becoming disabled in June 2006. He was predeceased by a brother, Larry Christian. He is survived by his wife, Stephanie Christian; father, Andrew Christian Sr. (Viola); a brother, Andrew Christian Jr. (Sherill); four children, Trimeika Burden, Ira Foreman, Byron Elliott and Shadrian Williams; four grandchildren, Terrion, Herlashia, Mecayah and Javonte; a host of other relatives and friends. A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Metropolitan Funeral Service, 7246 Granby St. Interment will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Family and friends will assemble at 2623 Oklahoma Ave. one hour prior to service for procession to the chapel. Condolences may be offered at www.metropolitanfuneralservice.com.
