Jack Elde Wickham VIRGINIA BEACH - Retired U.S. Navy Chief Warrant Officer 4 Jack Elde Wickham, 89, of the 1500 block of Hidden Cove, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2009. Born in Albuquerque, N.M., Jack was retired from the U.S. Navy after 32 years where he was a veteran of World War II, a Pearl Harbor survivor, and a hard hat diver. Later, he worked for VSE Corporation. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Phyllis Wickham and a son, John Maynard Wickham; and is survived by two daughters, Carol Joy Wickham and Joanne Wickham Filion and husband Dave; a son, Carl S. Wickham, all of Virginia Beach; and grandson, Nicholas M. Filion, his best buddy. A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel. Burial will follow in Princess Anne Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 4 to 6 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.
