Lillie Marshburn Obituary

Lillie Marshburn PORTSMOUTH - Lillie Marshburn, 64, of the 100 block of Marcy St., was called home to be with the Lord on Dec. 1, 2009. She was born May 5, 1945 in Portsmouth. Lillie was a member of New Life Deliverance Evangelistic Church where she served as the mother of the Church, and with the Kitchen Ministry. She was a sergeant of Securitas Security Services in Virginia Beach. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, William Marshburn Sr.; five sons, Vance D. Marshburn, Desmond P. Marshburn, Derrick D. Marshburn, William H. Marshburn Jr., and Charles R. Marshburn; three daughters, LaPeacha A. Marshburn, Iannther Marshburn and Dorrecta K. Marshburn; five grandchildren, Marquita N. Marshburn, Cameron D. Marshburn, Shakeem E. Bryant, Micheal Marshburn and DaQuan D. Marshburn; two great-granddaughters; three sisters and a host of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her daughter, Catherine T. Barnes. Viewing will be held today, Dec. 4, from 4 until 7 p.m. at J.T. Fisher Funeral Services, 1080 N. George Washington Highway, Chesapeake. A life celebration service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, at the funeral home. Interment will be at Carver Memorial Cemetery, Suffolk.
