James Armstrong Obituary

James O. Armstrong NORFOLK - James O. Armstrong, 93, passed away Dec. 10, 2009 in Norfolk. A native of Neptune, N.J., he was born in Norwich, Conn., to Eleanor and J. Oliver Armstrong and was predeceased by his wife, Margaret in 1991. He is survived by daughter, Lynn Shillalies of Norfolk; son, Gary Armstrong of Whiting, N.J.; granddaughter, Krista Williamson and husband Mark; and two great- grandchildren, Drew and Laurel Williamson. The family is grateful to his two special care nurses, Denise and Misty, and to all the kind caregivers at Province Place where he spent the last years of his life. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 15, in Province Place of DePaul, 6403 Granby St., Norfolk. Condolences may be offered to the family at hdoliver.com.

Dad was the best father anyone could ask for. He and Mom created a protective and comforting family for us all to be part of. Gary & I both have such wonderful memories of our time together.
