I was so blessed to have such a sweet and wonderful Grandmother. I enjoyed my visits to Virginia to see her and my Grandfather. She was such a great cook and I particularly remember her delicious pumpkin pie at Thanksgiving time. Grandma would always take me on fun adventures growing up. We would stay up late into the night watching Gone with the Wind together.
Years ago, upon returning home from my first trip to Italy, Grandma fell ill and I went to visit her in the hospital. Although she was not awake I sat with her and told her all about my wonderful experiences there and how much I loved and felt connected with Italy. Days later when she woke up she told me that she remembered my visit to the hospital and recalled all the details about my time in Italy.
I appreciated how generous she was with those she cared about. I loved when she visited us too and would pick me up at school and walk home with me. All beautiful memories that I will cherish.
May her soul rest in peace in Heaven with Grandpa and her spirit live on through those who loved her.
Love always,
Allegra

Dear Carmen and Jennifer:
I have many happy memories of your Mom from childhood days. The one lasting impression your Mother had on my life was taking me to my first (of many) symphony concerts at the old City Hall Plaza during the summer. I remember how beautiful the string section sounded and to this day, I still enjoy attending symphony concerts, opera and professional choral groups--all because of your Mother's influence. May her joyous soul rest in peace. Love, Michael Guida
