This is a note from a long lost friend.Helen and I grew up together and unfortunately lost touch. I am so very sorry to hear of your loss of a lovely lady. My deepest sympathy to the family. Betty Cox Scott and husband, John....We live in Charlottesville and would love to meet Mary Elizabeth sometime.

It was a privilege to have known Helen who was beautiful in spirit as well as in person. Her courage and patience over the many years of enduring Parkinson's disease were an inspiration to me and will endure in memory forever.
