Laura Hudler Obituary

Laura E. Clay Hudler VIRGINIA BEACH - Laura Elizabeth Clay Hudler, 41, of the 600 block of Pelham Place, passed away Dec. 14, 2009, in Virginia Beach. Born in Norfolk, she was a graduate of First Colonial High School and a member of St. Aidan's Episcopal Church. She attended and taught at the Fuller School of Massage Therapy. She was owner and operator of Therapeutic Massage for Healing. She is survived by her husband, Joseph C. Hudler; her parents, Charles Weston Clay Jr. and Judith D. Clay; a sister, Sara Kristin Kight and husband Tim; a brother, Charles Weston Clay III; two nephews, Alec Dohmann and Karson Timothy Kight; and a niece, Chelsea Dohmann. She was predeceased by her sister, Kimberly Leah Clay. A memorial service will be conducted Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at St. Aidan's Episcopal Church with the Rev. Mark Wilkinson officiating. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, is handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association. It is with a heavy heart that I offer my prayers for peace in your time of sorrow. I know that Laura has left behind the sufferings of this world, but she has also left it a darker place. We will miss the light she brought to everyone, everywhere.

Eternal rest grant unto them oh Lord and may perpetual light shine upon them. Amen.
