Margarete Henkle Obituary

Margarete C. Henkle VIRGINIA BEACH - Margarete Chuchwar "Marge" Henkle, resident of Atria Life Guidance, passed away Dec. 17, 2009. Marge was born April 28, 1919, in Minneapolis, the daughter of Andrew and Anna Chuchwar. She was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Harrison Henkel and also her sisters, Susan, Dorothy, Helen, Katherine, Olga, Marian, and brothers, Andrew, Peter, and William. She is survived by her loving nieces and nephews. Marge held numerous jobs, but the job she loved most was the one she retired from at the Norfolk and Portsmouth Belt Line Railroad in July 1983. A very special thanks to all her friends at Atria Virginia Beach, who took care of her these past few years. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22, at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to your SPCA or St. Mary's Home for Disabled Children, 6171 Kempsville Circle, Norfolk, VA 23502.
