Charleene Rode Obituary

Charleene C. Rode NORFOLK - On Friday, April 2, 2010, Charleene Rode went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Charleene was born in Preston, Mo., to parents, Nora and Charley Clymore on Oct. 27, 1925. She was preceded in death by her loving daughter, Christine Rode and her husband Frank Rode. She leaves to keep her memories her "good-looking daughters," Mary Rode Edler and Frances Rode Greene and their respective husbands, Mike Eastman and Eddie Greene. She leaves behind her favorite handsome son, Charley Rode and his beautiful wife Peggy. She is also survived by her best grandson, Michael, also highly attractive and two beautiful granddaughters, Lori and Carrie Turner and her great-granddaughter, the lovely Brooke Turner. Charlene was not only the proud mother to the Rode family but offered unconditional love to many friends, relatives and neighbors. She was a faithful member of Christ United Methodist Church for many years where she enjoyed the morning praise service. Please join the family at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 10, in Christ United Methodist Church, 1601 E. Bayview Blvd., Norfolk, for a memorial service. Dr. Dan Abbott will preside. A reception will follow the service at the Rode home, 1807 Edgewood Ave.
