Charlotte Green Obituary

Charlotte Marie Green NORFOLK - Charlotte Marie Green passed quietly and peacefully into eternal rest Wednesday, April 7, 2010. She was a native of Gifford, S.C., and the daughter of Anthony and Willie Mae Furman Walker. She was the widow of George W. Green Sr. She attended St. Anthony's Catholic, Cuyler and Beach High School in Savannah, Ga. She leaves to cherish her precious memory four devoted and loving daughters, Deborah Raneah Neville, Cheree Marie Bowen (Betrum Bowen B.J.), Carroll Rachelle Roberts (Irvin Roberts Jr. Rob), Ke nyatta Faye Green; one beloved son, George William Green Jr.; three sisters, Betty R. Johnson (Benjamin), Annette McPherson, Edwina Howard; 25 grandchildren; 32 great- grandchildren; six sisters- in-law; three brothers-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by a daughter, Terry Green and two brothers, Theodore Walker and Lindsey Walker. A funeral will be held Saturday, April 17, at 6 p.m. in Gethsemane Community Fellowship, 1317 E. Brambleton Ave., with the Rev. Dr. Kirk Houston officiating. Burial will be Monday, April 19, in Magnolia Memorial Gardens, Savannah, Ga. Riddick Funeral Service is in charge of local arrangements.
