Paul Olah Obituary

Paul Olah CHESAPEAKE - Paul Olah, 86, of the 1100 block of Johnstown Road, went to be with the Lord Monday, April 19, 2010, in his home surrounded by family. Born in Old Norfolk County, he was the last surviving child of Mike and Magdeline Olah and was predeceased by a great-grandson, Austin McCotter. Paul was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. For many years, he was a local builder until his retirement in 1989. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, Chesapeake. Survivors include his loving wife of 66 years, Elizabeth C. Olah; three children, Paul C. Olah and wife Linda, Gary R. Olah and wife Viola and Joan Bailey and husband Mac; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a loyal niece, Joyce Olah; as well as a large extended family. The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 21, at the Great Bridge Chapel of Oman Funeral Home & Crematory, 653 Cedar Road, Chesapeake. The Rev. Victor Spellman will officiate. The interment will follow in Rosewood Memorial Park. The viewing will begin today with the family receiving friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
