Dorothy Keefe Obituary

Dorothy B. Keefe NORFOLK - Dorothy B. Keefe died peacefully Monday, April 19, 2010, in her home. She was a native and lifelong resident of Norfolk. She was predeceased by her parents, Talmadge E. and Rosalie S. Branch and her husband, L. Rawlings Keefe. A member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Dorothy is survived by her sister, Rosalie B. Flaherty; her niece, Donna F. Richards and husband Andy, all of Virginia Beach; and her nephew, Charles E. Flaherty III of Wilmington, N.C. Also surviving are three great-nieces, Erin B. Hillman and husband John and Stephanie R. Cox and husband Llewellyn all of Pasadena, Calif., Laura E. Richards of Virginia Beach and a great-nephew, Charles E. Flaherty IV of Wilmington. Many thanks to the staff of Seniorcorp who allowed her to remain in her home. A graveside service will be held at noon Saturday, April 24, in Forest Lawn Cemetery by Father Bob Ruth. Family requests contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the Joy Fund c/o Virginian Pilot, P. O. Box 449, Norfolk, VA 23510. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements.
