Louis Hitchings Obituary

Louis E. Hitchings NORFOLK - Louis Eugene Hitchings, 72, died April 25, 2010 in Bon Secours DePaul Medical Center. He was born in Norfolk and retired from the City of Norfolk Water Department and Old Dominion University. He was a member of American Legion Post 327 and was a U.S. Navy veteran. He is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Fannie E. Hitchings and daughter, Sandra Asbury and husband Jeff; brother, Robert Hitchings and wife Cef; two grandchildren, Joshua Sheppard and Cody Bartruff. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, April 28, at 11 a.m. in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Norfolk, with Navy honors. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. I did not know Louis Hitchings,but if he was anything like his brother Robert he must of been a find man and my love and sympathy goes out to you and your family at this difficult time.
