When we lose someone we love, it seems that time stands still.
We do not understand why they left before we were ready to say good-bye. Little by little, we begin to remember all the memories that Uncle Bill gave us that we will never forget. (We always laugh about when Uncle Bill checked our bungies)
God saw Uncle Bill was getting tired and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around him and whispered "come to me."
With tearful eyes you watched and helped him lay down to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.
Love, Colleen (Martin)

I believed I served with William Mcmahon in Newport, RI 50 years ago in Destroyer Squadron 12. He was a Chief Signalman or Quartermaster at the time and I was a Lt. I recall him as a terrific shipmate and have told stories about him over the years. And to thinkwe were living in the same area.
