Forrest Sparks CHESAPEAKE - Forrest Sparks, 86, of the 1400 block of Orchard Grove Drive, passed away April 29, 2010 in a local hospital. A native of Halifax, N.C., he was the son of the late William Forrest and Enola Greganus Sparks and the widower of Nellie M. Sparks. He was a Master Plumber and owner of Sparkey's Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning. He was former president of the Plumbing & Heating Association of Virginia Beach. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II and a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend of many. He is survived by three daughters, Nancy Sparks Kramer and husband Wesley of Clover, S.C., Sharon Sparks Reyes and husband Steven of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Peggy Sparks Lakner of Chesapeake; his son, Richard Forrest Sparks of Chesapeake; five grandchildren, Blake Sparks, Ashley Lakner, Amy Kramer, Misti Kramer Fuentes and Charla Kramer Carter; five great-grandchildren; and a host of nephews, nieces and friends. He was predeceased by two sisters, Elsie Harlow and Nealy Warren and brother, Earl. He will be greatly missed by his loving family. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to Dr. Nicholas Terry for all his loving and compassionate care during Forrest's prolonged illness and also the special friendship displayed by the musicians at Quality Music where Forrest and Richard spent many special Saturday afternoons. A graveside service will be conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Rosewood Memorial Park with the Rev. Dr. Garland Hines officiating.
